People with renewable heating systems installed since 15 July 2009 may have to wait to apply for the domestic renewable heat incentive (RHI). Last week the government announced its plans to phase the process.

Householders could get paid hundreds of pounds a year for heat generated by solar thermal panels, biomass boilers and heat pumps, Energy and Climate Change Minister Greg Barker confirmed today.

As of 20th May 2013 there will be more help with the upfront cost of installing a renewable heating system as the Department of Energy and Climate Change announces a doubling of the Renewable Heat Premium Payments.
